Abstract

Locating the wireless device in a wireless network is necessary not only from security aspect but also to inform the upcoming new access point before the device enters the coverage area. The characteristics of wireless bring new challenges for security controlling unauthorized access is necessary now a days. Tracking and locating a wireless device like wireless laptop is important from security point of view and gives a realistic face to the authentication and authorization to any network infrastructure and enterprise. Tracking the device, using multiple authentication mechanism and multifactor authentication is a step ahead in the technology world. The complete two dimension model was designed earlier. The Design in three dimensions of the WLAN and tracking the device and techniques to estimate the current location and trajectory of the device in three dimension was designed. A special purpose message protocol between the wireless device and access point was designed to be used with mathematical equations (Three Dimensions) to track the device in wireless networks.
