Francisco Soto Mas is an Associate Professor of Health Education in the Department of Teacher Education, University of Texas at El Paso. He has a medical degree from the University of Granada, Spain, a PhD in Health Promotion from the University of New Mexico, and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Arizona. Francisco Soto Mas has more than 15 years of professional experience in medicine and public health as a practitioner, researcher and academician. His areas of expertise include chronic disease prevention and control, program planning and evaluation, health behavior theory, Latino health issues, bioterrorism, and health communication and health literacy.
