Abstract

The Soldier's Journal is a military thriller. Camila Mason is one of the first women to qualify as a green beret in the U.S. Army. Here first mission is to deploy to Afghanistan where she faces the memory of her father, a green beret killed thirteen years earlier by an IED. Soon, she begins to understand the environment surrounding her, filled with sexism, ineptitude, and enemies, both foreign and domestic.^
