The Transnationalization of Racism: Critical Multiculturalism as a Venue to Implement Anti-Racist Education
This article examines how racism is pervasive across international state borders. It uses critical multiculturalism as venue to deconstruct Whiteness or White Supremacy to then propose anti-racist education. The article compares racial similarities and differences between Brazil and United States, as far as Affirmative Action is related to the implementation of quotas. It presents analyses about the power and domination of white colonization, historically speaking, in regards to the conquering of socio-communitarian rights of Afro-Brazilians and US citizens referring to education other civil rights. In conclusion, the article proposes surrounding elements, regarding affirmative action, in the areas of curriculum and educational politics.
